Situated in the beautiful mountains of the Serrania de Ronda the local area is popular for hiking, adventure sports, mountain biking, horse riding while taking in the breathtaking flora and fauna. All activities can be arranged from the Hotel Inz-Almaraz.
The name Inz-Almaraz apparently derives from the time when the Arabs settled in Spain, and means “woman’s castle”. There are no remains of a castle in the village but the remains of an ancient Muslim cemetery exist under the modern Christian church. And now the Hotel Rural has inherited this name.
Jimera de Libar is situated at an altitude of 463m in the valley of Guadiaro - which means river of gold in Arabic. It is one of the most attractive nature spots in Andalucia. What makes it so beautiful is the little white villages (pueblos blanco), the presence of the river and the rugged mountains. The valley is an excellent rural tourism destination for adventure sports, nature, history and an excellent choice for lovers of gastronomy.
The valley of Gaudiaro stretches for 70 kilometres between the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz, it is on of the most important fluvial zones in the province, also containing many caves such as La Cueva Del Gato (The Cat Cave) which can be explored with a guide stretching for 7 kilometres. Also La Cueva Del La Pileta which is only a ten minute drive from the village and contains some of the oldest cave paintings in Spain. Trips to these caves can be arranged on request. We can also help you organise walking routes, horse riding through the beautiful scenery of Andalucia and mountain bike routes from one village to another. For those seeking an adrenalin rush we can organise canoeing and kayaking, canyoning, off-road adventures and caving with expert guides.

At the Hotel Inz-Almaraz you will find five Andalucian-style double rooms and, on request, we can supply a single bed for children. All bedrooms are rooms are fitted with air conditioning. Guests will be supplied with free access to the nearby local municipal pool. There are also facilities in the village for football, basketball and tennis. All equipment is available from our reception desk.
The air-conditioned restaurant is perfect for a quiet meal or a special function. We serve typical Spanish dishes including several cuts of the famous Iberian pork and other dishes from around the world. There is small bar open to guests all hours where you can taste local wines of Ronda and try the local tapas. We can also prepare packed lunches and drinks for you to take on your excursions.
There is also cosy seating area in front of a log burning fire, perfect to escape the cool of winter where you can enjoy reading a book or just take time out.
